Summer is just around the corner, so I've been all about finding the perfect shorts for this upcoming season. One of my favorite styles right now are these casual loose printed shorts. They're great for dressing up or just a casual slip on for going to the pool.

During spring break I wore these shorts on a casual day to the mall. They are so comfortable I almost forgot I was wearing them. I can't wait to wear these babies this coming summer.

Here are two different ways to wear these shorts.

Thank you to my sister Stephanie for being my model.

Here's to the end of spring semester and warmer weather (:

For this outfit I remixed my old feminine lace pencil skirt with my acid wash jean jacket and striped shirt. Over the past couple of years my style has changed drastically. In high school it was very preppy and feminine. Lately I have been craving minimalistic and effortless style. I'm trying to transition my wardrobe to reflect my recent mood by pairing my old feminine pieces with some of my recent staple additions to my wardrobe.

To make this girly skirt look less like I was on my way to a wedding, I paired it with stripes (you can never go wrong with stripes people) and my denim jean jacket. This made my overall outfit look less preppy and more casual. I tucked my shirt and rolled my sleeves for a effortless vibe. My ankle booties pair great with dressed up looks and also casual looks so they paired great with my outfit. This is another great look for transitioning into spring during this next month.

As the last days of cold are starting to dwindle down, I'm getting the most use of my cold weather clothes for the last time before summer. If you have been following my posts, you would know that my favorite outfits are the ones transiting between seasons with both a little cold weather and warmer weather items mixed together. My cold weather item for this look was my sweater I had impulsively bought online this winter. This tennis v-neck sweater trend had been popping up all over my instagram and pinterest feeds so, of course, I had to have it when I saw it on clearance at H&M. This trend is great for versatility and minimalism; Both a solid foundation for great style.

I bought my sweater two sizes bigger than my actual size (which I have been doing a lot lately) for a more comfy lay-back look. There's something about being oversized that implies casual yet comfy and also perfect for tucking to the side for swag. I paired it with my ripped black denim and cheetah patterned loafers for a grunge chic look perfect for a breezy spring day. Running to-and-from classes and running errands never looked so comfortable, chic, and effortless.

Have a great week!

For the last year the crop top has been trending. Like most, I was skeptical at first, but I have learned to love it. Finding the right crop top is key. Depending on a person's shape, the kind of crop top one wears should be reflected of that body type. If you have a long torso, like me, crop tops that are longer are more ideal. Ladies who are bigger chested should avoid stripes and prints because they can be unflattering and make the body look disproportional.

A couple of things to keep in mind when finding the best crop top:
- As a rule of thumb, there should be no more than 2 inches of midriff showing. Whether that mean your jeans be higher waisted or the crop top longer; I follow this rule of thumb to stay modest and keep some sophistication.
- Be wary of form fitting crops. Most of my crop tops are looser because I like the look of this fit. Form fitting crops can be a little too revealing and can appear to look like you're wearing a top two sizes too small for you. The exception to this fit would be to offset the form fit with a looser bottom. Try pairing it with a flirty skirt or boyfriend jean; Something with a little bit more volume.

I paired my white jeans with my denim acid wash jean jacket for a perfect denim on denim look. I wore my Birkenstock sandals and sunglasses for an effortless spring vibe on my week in Florida with my fam. I can't wait for summer and wearing warmer weather wear like this all the time.

In other news, I have officially been accepted to study abroad in the Fall of 2015. I will be in Florence, Italy for a whole semester taking fashion courses and even a wine tasting class. I cannot wait to share with everyone my experience there! I am so blessed to have this opportunity. Anyone looking to give some advice, I would gladly appreciate it as I start to prepare for my trip (:
